What to include when you enquire
- Name
- Postcode (so we know if you are in Harrogate, Bilton, Oatlands, Starbeck or nearby)
- Email (best way to send a quote or survey options)
- Property type — e.g. terrace, semi-detached, detached, flat, period stone, cellar/basement present
- Damp symptoms — e.g. tide marks near skirting, black mould, musty smell, wet patches after rain, soft timber, cellar moisture
- When it started and whether it is getting worse
- Photos optional — walls, skirting, cellar corners or salt staining help triage
- Access notes — parking, occupied rooms, landlord permission, listed-building constraints if known
What happens next
We review the details and respond by email with questions if anything is unclear, then a guide range or a recommendation to book a damp survey before treatment. For urgent active leaks (e.g. water visibly entering after a storm), say so clearly — we aim to prioritise genuine moisture ingress within capacity, but attendance timing is an aim, not a guaranteed SLA.
